RACK

The front horizontal elements are routed with a groove, allowing them to function as tracks for sliding doors. These, too, are reused – made from rigid foam panels that once served as billboards.
The doors can be moved freely along the entire width of the unit, making it possible to conceal particularly cluttered areas of stored material.

This wall-filling shelving unit was designed and built for the studio of a musician friend. Similar to stage racks, it is based on a grid structure. Above head height, the shelves are twice as deep, providing additional storage.

Old floorboards, around five metres in length, served as the raw material. With considerable effort, I cut them to size and planed them.
