ZIRKEL
These two bar stools are made entirely from spruce. All components were cut from a single panel.
The legs form a triangular structure and are tilted along two axes, defining the visual character (of a compass = Zirkel) while also providing stability.
In contrast to this triangular base, the circular seat and the footrest – shaped as a segment of a circle – introduce a softer geometry. Integrating the footrest seamlessly into the angled legs while ensuring a solid connection was a particular challenge in this project.
The stools are stained in a gradient from top to bottom, transitioning from a warm brown to the natural tone of the spruce.
