When I tell you why this bench is called Bill…
…you might find it a little pretentious.
The truth is, I rarely have a name in mind when making a new piece. But once this one was finished, it felt like an extended version of the Ulmer Hocker by Max Bill.
That’s all there is to it.
It consists of two solid, stained beechwood legs, a seat made from marine pine plywood, and a brass tube that stabilises the angled panels.
This not-so-good photo of Bill will hopefully be replaced soon.
